Conundrum - Official Video Release

Robert Vincent considers the human condition in 2020 on "Conundrum". "We are faced with a conundrum about whether or not to remain as consumers, and continually take from the world we live in, or to start looking after our planet."

'With a pristine vocal that neatly narrows the distance between country and soul music, the track is impossibly haunting and patient in its ability to sneak up slowly upon us, win us over, and make us Vincent stalwarts’

My Neighbour's Ghost - Official Video Release

The cultural juxtaposition for Liverpudlian-but-Americana artist Robert Vincent makes for many unique takes in his tunes. His third album, In This Town You’re Owned, he continues to shine a light on culture, society, and other issues that maybe others sidestep.

With the premiere of his next track, “My Neighbour’s Ghost” he leans into the writing style of 70s commentators that influence much of his work.

“Do we sometimes take our lives for granted? Do we always live life to the full? Should we take in what is going on around us more?,” he said of the song. “There is so much we can all learn from life. “Life will take you, if you like it or if you don’t, so live it.”

This Town - Official Video Release

Robert Vincent’s new single “This Town” Official video is available HERE  The five-minute clip was shot at The Plaza cinema in Vincent’s hometown of Crosby, England, as well as various U.S. towns that have left an impact on the Liverpool based singer-songwriter.

The nostalgic tune has the singer-songwriter reflecting on the towns that helped make him who he is. With delicate acoustic guitar finger-picking and soft percussion accompaniment, Vincent’s smooth and captivating vocals are at the forefront of “This Town.”

US Trip September 2019

Thank you for all your messages regarding my recent US trip, which saw me visiting Lubbock, Texas for a song-writing retreat with the Buddy Holly Educational Foundation and The Lubbock Entertainment and Performing Arts Association. It was great to meet and write with so many new artists, I’m sure Buddy would have been proud of the output from the new music of the week and I hope you enjoyed the posts and pictures of what I got up to.

We then made our way to Nashville for the 20thAnnual Americana Fest in which I had an official showcase with the Americana Association. I was also part of the AMAUK welcome show and it was great to catch up with all the other UK artists as always in Nashville.

It was great to be part of the Thirty Tigers showcase in which my friends ‘The Rails’, as well as ‘Chris Shifflet’ ‘The Woods Brothers’ played sets and made it such an amazing day.

The award show was as always was a huge success and bigger and better than ever. Americana Fest is such a highlight for the Americana Community and long may it continue.

Thanks to all my team and management for making it a smooth week, plus the guys from the band in Nashville who were top class and made such a huge difference to the showcases and the shows (Jesse Isley, Grady Saxman, Tim Denbo and of course my old mucker Siobhan Maher Kennedy). Also a big shout out to The PRS Foundation for helping with funding which without it would have made the trip fairly impossible.

News very soon on the album and plans. Thanks for your support as always.

Handwritten Lyrics

A lot of people contacted me over Christmas enquiring about for handwritten lyrics as presents for others. I thought it would be good idea to see if anyone else wanted any personalised for themselves, friend or loved one. I will be making this an option for a short while so get your requests in.

An item will be available on the SHOP soon.

2018 was an amazing year, closing out the ‘Old Grey Whistle Test’ heading out on the road supporting and performing with Beth Neilsen Chapman. Performing at Hyde Park supporting one of my musical heroes ’Roger Waters’ opening for another hero the ‘Titan of Twang’ ‘Duane Eddy’ and completing a sold out band tour in early November. If that wasn’t enough, myself and the band jumped into the Legendary ‘Rockfield Studio’s’ to record the next album, with no other than Ethan Johns at the controls. The two weeks we spent in the studio, were by far the best I’ve experienced and I am certain that you are going to love the results. There will be plenty of news to come over the coming weeks regarding the release of the album. I can’t wait for you to hear it!

A message from Rob at the end of his UK tour...

"Well, that ends a fantastic eleven dates of pure joy hanging out with these legends. Great players, every one! And amazing people, we've done nothing but laugh. We will now be heading into the studio to record the next album. Thanks for all the support this week, every gig was a different and brilliant experience, and we can't wait to bring you the new songs."

Rob has just returned from a hugely successful trip to Nashville, Tennessee, where he performed at several showcases, and even caught up with Duane Eddy ahead of supporting him later this year.

Robert is off on a headline tour of the UK in November!  He'll be visiting Glasgow, York, Birmingham, London, Bristol, Manchester, Leicestershire and Liverpool.
