Thank you for all your messages regarding my recent US trip, which saw me visiting Lubbock, Texas for a song-writing retreat with the Buddy Holly Educational Foundation and The Lubbock Entertainment and Performing Arts Association. It was great to meet and write with so many new artists, I’m sure Buddy would have been proud of the output from the new music of the week and I hope you enjoyed the posts and pictures of what I got up to.
We then made our way to Nashville for the 20thAnnual Americana Fest in which I had an official showcase with the Americana Association. I was also part of the AMAUK welcome show and it was great to catch up with all the other UK artists as always in Nashville.
It was great to be part of the Thirty Tigers showcase in which my friends ‘The Rails’, as well as ‘Chris Shifflet’ ‘The Woods Brothers’ played sets and made it such an amazing day.
The award show was as always was a huge success and bigger and better than ever. Americana Fest is such a highlight for the Americana Community and long may it continue.
Thanks to all my team and management for making it a smooth week, plus the guys from the band in Nashville who were top class and made such a huge difference to the showcases and the shows (Jesse Isley, Grady Saxman, Tim Denbo and of course my old mucker Siobhan Maher Kennedy). Also a big shout out to The PRS Foundation for helping with funding which without it would have made the trip fairly impossible.
News very soon on the album and plans. Thanks for your support as always.
